YPO INNOVATION WEEK


Former Global Chairman

The Young Presidents' Organization or YPO is the global platform for chief executives to interact, learn and grow. YPO members harness the knowledge, influence and trust of the world’s most influential and innovative business leaders. They inspire business, personal, family and community development. Today, YPO empowers more than 24,000 members in more than 130 countries, diversified among various industries and businesses.

YPO has created Innovation Week as a way to bring together the world's most dynamic innovators for a rare chance to network, challenge conventional thinking and inspire insights that are operational. Summit locations have included international cities such as Sydney, New York City, Silicon Valley and Toronto.

Alper's previous YPO roles include St. Louis Chapter Chairman, Central Region Chairman, International Networks Board Member, Vice-Chair of SEN, GLCs/Summit Producer, OT Committee Member and St. Louis Strategic Planning Board Chairman.

Entrepreneurs' Organization


Former International President and Chairman

The Entrepreneurs' Organization or EO is a global network of over 14, 0000 eminent business owners. Formerly known as Young Entrepreneur's Organization or YEO, the EO promotes the growth and development of leaders in business and beyond.

In 1993, Alper launched the YEO/EO chapter in St. Louis. He served as the International Chairman in 1999. His many years of service on the board helped to grow the organization from 500 to 6,000 national and international members. As a former board president and leadership team member, Alper developed many innovative programs, including the Kauffman Foundation Fund and Partnership.

Maryville University is a nationally renowned private college in Town and Country, a suburb in St. Louis, Missouri. Maryville is an outstanding university that offers a comprehensive and innovative educational experience for its students. In his leadership role, Alper advises the board on matters related to marketing, innovation and technology.

Current Board Member

By transfiguring clothes and shoes into life-changing experiences, Soles4Souls provides relief, fights poverty, protects the planet and empowers women by turning donated apparel into future opportunities. The organization has been noted as one of the most awarded non-profit entities in the county. Alper continues to support Soles4Souls in its effort to find creative ways to enfranchise people around the world.

Downtown St. Louis is the region's hub for tourism, dining and entertainment. Whether one is a permanent resident or a visitor for a day, the city of St. Louis offers a variety of cultural activities and entertainment opportunities. It is home to several annual events, delicious eateries and numerous attractions. As a business and community leader, Alper has championed the city of St. Louis and supported its development and growth.

Former Chairman of the Board

The Advertising Club of St. Louis supports and represents members who are employed or seek employment in the field of marketing and advertising. Its mission is to promote creativity and stimulate dialogue among agencies, creators and influencers in the St. Louis area. In his tenure as a board member, Alper reorganized and transformed the club by recruiting new leaders and expanding its membership.

Former Board Member

As the regional affiliate for National Public Radio (NPR), St. Louis Public Radio (KWMU) provides international, national and local reporting and programing for citizens throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
