Cancer shows no mercy. Its dark cloud has touched most of us in some way. But the Illumination Gala, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s annual, premier fundraising gala, rallies our community to help make the future brighter in St. Louis and beyond.
All proceeds support the Cancer Frontier Fund to help researchers at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine accelerate breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
Pedal the Cause provides critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through an annual cycling challenge.
Founded in 2010 with the model of using 100% of public donations to fund world-class cancer research, Pedal the Cause has quickly become the gateway to curing cancer. Donations from Pedal the Cause also make a positive economic impact in the St. Louis community as stronger research funding will continue to support this segment of the St. Louis economy.
